South Wales Fire Service & Rescue
”In the past we had a number of janitorial and PPE suppliers. Now we just have one -Adcock!”
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service covers a geographical area of over 1000 square miles and a population of almost 1.5 million people.
Ten unitary authorities are served by 50 Fire Stations, a Control Room based at Fire and Rescue Service headquarters at Lanelay Hall, Fire Safety departments in Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil, Community Safety in Newport and a new state-of-the-art training facility at Cardiff Gate.
South Wales Fire had dealt with Adcock for many years for catering equipment. Adcock was one of the few companies that stocked all the essential items which meant when a piece of equipment broke down the service was able to send someone to collect a new one straight away. In June 2006 the Fire service conducted an audit of their main janitorial requirements. Adcock, part of the Jangro group, was able to provide detailed consultative help ensuring that the quality of product was actually improved and at the same time costs reduced.
Adcock now sees itself as a partner supplier to South Wales Fire and Rescue. All Janitorial goods are sourced through Adcock and the Jangro range can be seen in evey fire station.
